Job Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients with hand and upper extremity conditions.
- Develop personalized treatment plans to address patients’ specific needs and goals.
- Administer a variety of therapeutic techniques and activities to improve hand function, reduce
pain and enhance mobility. - Educate patients on exercises and home programs to facilitate recovery and prevent future
issues. - Fabricate custom orthotics and splints to protect injured extremities and improve range of motion.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and other therapists to
ensure comprehensive care. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records
- Exhibit the ability to work well in a team and contribute to a positive work environment.
Qualifications
- Licensed Occupational Therapist or Physical Therapist with a specialization in hand therapy
- Interest in or have Certification in Hand Therapy (CHT)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in hand therapy
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
- Dedicated to continuing education and professional development
