Frequently Asked Questions

  • Q: How long will each treatment last?
    A:

Most sessions are approximately 60 minutes.

  • Q: How many visits will I need?
    A:

This depends on your symptoms and the program that you are given. On your first visit your therapist will give you an idea of the duration of your treatment. Treatment courses range from 1-2 visits to a few months for more serious conditions.

  • Q: Can I see a therapist without seeing a doctor first?
    A:

Depending on your insurance you may be able to go directly to a therapist without getting a prescription from your doctor first. Contact us for more details.

  • Q: Can therapists diagnose an injury?
    A:

As highly trained healthcare professionals, therapists are well-qualified to evaluate your condition, assess your therapy needs and, if appropriate, safely and effectively treat you. Therapists are also trained to recognize if you demonstrate conditions, signs and symptoms that should be evaluated by other health care professionals before therapy begins.

  • Q: Who pays for all nMotion services?
    A:

In most cases, health insurance will cover the treatment. However, you may be responsible for a co-pay or deductible. All nMotion services are pre-approved prior to your first visit. You will be made aware of your financial obligation before your first visit.

  • Q: Is therapy painful?
    A:

Not necessarily. Our goal is to reduce or completely eliminate your pain. Therapy treatments often include hands-on techniques and specific movements designed to make you feel better. It is important that you inform your therapist if you do feel pain during treatment as this will guide your therapist to adjust your program appropriately.

  • Q: What happens if my symptoms return?
    A:

During the healing process, symptoms sometimes reoccur. If you experience this give us a call.
We may suggest you come back to see us, return to your doctor, or simply modify your daily activities or exercise routine.

  • Q: Do you talk to my doctor?
    A:

Our therapists send regular written reports to your physician. Depending on your progress, your therapist may speak directly with your physician.
